Mental Health, A National Emergency

I recently read an article that was alarming, and it reminded me of last week’s message on Mental Health month.

The article mentioned that  according to ABC News, a national emergency has been declared on children’s mental health.

The reason was based on the pandemic and the toll it has taken on the mental health of children due to social isolation, school closures, missed milestone, and increased family stressors.

This has caused ER visits due to mental health to increase by 25% for kids 5 to 11 and 50% for girls 12 to 17 and 30% for boys 12- to 17-years old.

What can be done about this emergency??? How are you helping your child to cope? If you don’t know where to start, check out Doctor on Demand. There is a free mental health assessment and the ability to schedule an appointment 24/7.
