Packing Tips to Simplify your Travels

Did you know that simplifying your packing can save you time and money?

If you pack a carry-in versus checking in luggage, you can save time by not having to wait for the bags to be put through the arrival bins and you can save money by not having to pay for the checked bag(s).

Not to mention, you don’t have to haul around a heavy suitcase as you get a cab or go up stairs to your hotel.

As I learned to back for an overnight backpacking trip, I thought that I could use that as a starting point for my out-of-town travels. For example, the size of toothpaste and deodorant, as well as, the number of clothing articles.

Can you choose multiple tops for one bottom? If you have a pair of denim shorts or pants, you could change your top and nobody would know the difference.

What are your must have items versus your would like items? Are there things that you can purchase when you arrive to your destination to minimize the amount of packing?

And, if you are traveling in a group, could you share some items, such as toothpaste and shampoo?

As we begin to travel, keep in mind what hotels may or may not be offering and pack accordingly.

Safe travels.
