Mask Mandates in Oregon and Washington

Many have heard that Oregon and Washington, as well as, the rest of the nation are lifting mask mandates.

For example, in Washington, as of February 18, 2022, people are no longer required to wear masks at large outdoor events.

Oregon Health Authority announced on February 24, 2022, the lifting of the use of indoor mask on March 19, 2022, for schools and the general public. At this time, no date has been set for the use of masks at healthcare facilities.

Washington Governor Inslee stated that he plans to end statewide requirement of the use of masks on March 21, 2022. He also mentioned that some settings may still require them, such as correctional facilities, healthcare settings, and while using public transportation. And he also stated that businesses, local governments, and schools may still have their own requirements.

Therefore, keep in mind that your workplace may have different requirements and it is advised that you follow workplace protocol to protect yourself and your co-workers.

We are reminded that mask use continues to help reduce the spread of the virus and that vaccinations help reduce the severity of the illness.
